On April 4, IITU hosted an open lecture by Olga Bychkova, PhD, Head of the Center for Science and Technology Research at the European University in St. Petersburg!

The topic of the lecture was: "Inside the Science Lab and Algorithm: Why do social sciences study naturalists, engineers and programmers?"

Students who attended the lecture learned how scientific knowledge and technologies are actually created. The lecture also explored the interdisciplinary field of social sciences, Science and Technology Studies (STS).

The professor discussed with the conference participants how scientific theories and engineering developments actually emerge.
