On December 20, 2023, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with representatives of the domestic business community, where the issues of qualitative and sustainable development of the national economy were discussed.

In particular, the participants shared their views on macroeconomic policy issues, including the development of a new Tax Code and affordable lending to the real sector of the economy. The issues of systemic digitalization, active development of the transport and logistics industry, full realization of the potential of the agro-industrial complex, and industrialization of the economy, including through the development of the domestic automotive industry, were touched upon as part of the formation of a new economic structure.

Amanbek Huanyshbek, Chairman of IITU Alumni Association and a distinguished alumnus of IITU, took an active part in the event, making a presentation on the challenges and prospects in the IT field. He emphasized the importance of motivating teachers in training IT specialists.

Summarizing the discussion, President Tokayev expressed his recognition and noted that the suggestions made by Amanbek and other participants will be summarized and concrete measures will be taken on their basis.

Outstanding alumni such as Amanbek Huanyshbek are making a significant contribution to the development of the IT sector in Kazakhstan, and we are particularly proud of this.
