Meeting on the Development of the Save Tuba Educational App

On May 26, 2025, as part of the activities of the JSC «IITU» Sustainable Development Goals Integration Center, a meeting was held with students from LEHIGH University (USA). During the event, an international team of students from the USA and Kazakhstan presented the concept of a joint educational project — Save Tuba.

Save Tuba is a mobile learning application for students in grades 2 to 5, aimed at teaching sustainability topics in an engaging, game-based format. The app covers key areas such as:

waste recycling and sorting,
water and food conservation,
protection of endangered species,
and other environmental challenges.

A strong emphasis is placed on multilingual access: the app will be available in Kazakh, Russian, and English, ensuring wide accessibility across the country.

Additionally, a teacher interface is under development, allowing educators to track student progress and manage assignments effectively.

This initiative is designed to instill ecological habits from an early age and serves as a vivid example of international academic collaboration in the field of sustainable development.
