'IITU' JSC and Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University developed a new educational program for agrocyberneticists - specialists in the digitalization of agro systems and complexes.
As practice shows, the development of agriculture is moving towards the computerization of production processes. Now, an increasing number of agricultural enterprises are introducing modern computer systems in production. Thus, it can be stated that the profession of agrocyberneticist is in increasing demand. Such specialists are now very rare in the labor market. As the development of automated systems in agriculture is progressing at a noticeable pace, a high demand for such specialists is predicted in the future as well.
The profession of agrocyberneticist is the intersection of agribusiness and modern information technologies. This is an innovative unmastered profession that has appeared quite recently. Specialists of this profile will ensure the efficient operation of agricultural enterprises using modern technologies and equipment controlled by computers. Agrocyberneticists are precisely needed for the development, implementation and maintenance of such systems.
So, who is this profession suitable for? An applicant must have analytical thinking, abilities in physics and biology, love the exact sciences and natural science, be interested in programming and the biosphere. Such profession is suitable for creative, curious people with systemic thinking. Core subjects in the UNT are: mathematics and physics.
The launch of a new specialty is planned for the next academic year 2021/2022. Groups will be recruited both in Almaty and Kokshetau. The IITU professors will teach subjects related to ICT, agricultural subjects will be delivered by professors from Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau State University. The subjects in the new educational program will be taught in Kazakh, Russian and English and there will be more hours for professional practice.
