The Department of Educational and Social Affairs at the University oversees the planning, organization, and coordination of activities designed to create a supportive and secure educational environment. Established in 2024, the Department aims to foster students’ personal and professional growth, develop their social and leadership capacities, and provide guidance in career orientation and professional development.

— Organization of educational and social activities for IITU students aimed at fostering active citizenship, social awareness, and the holistic personal development of students

— Development and implementation of programs and initiatives that facilitate students’ integration into the social life of the University, including cultural, sports, and educational activities

— Coordination and collaboration with other structural units of the University, as well as with external organizations, in fulfilling the functions and responsibilities assigned to the Department. The procedures for interaction between University departments are determined by the Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs

— Monitoring and analysis of students’ needs in the areas of educational engagement and social initiatives, as well as the development of recommendations for enhancing the Department’s activities based on the findings obtained

— Organization of educational and training initiatives aimed at strengthening the professional competencies of the Department staff and developing students’ leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility skills

— Systematization of departmental activities and programs, preparation of reports, and evaluation of their effectiveness in accordance with established criteria.

The mission of the Department is to create conditions that foster the comprehensive personal, social, and civic development of students, promote the formation of strong moral values, social responsibility, and a culture of respectful behavior, and ensure social support as well as the protection of students’ rights and legitimate interests. The Department contributes to the development of a supportive educational and social environment, encourages civic engagement, student self-governance, and volunteer initiatives, and promotes the social adaptation and inclusion of students. Its activities are also aimed at strengthening constructive interaction and cooperation among students, faculty, and the University administration.
