The academic program Telecommunication Systems and Networks trains highly qualified specialists focused on the development and implementation of mobile communications and fiber-optic networks. The program is oriented toward a field of science and technology that includes a set of technologies, tools, methods, and approaches of human activity aimed at enabling long-distance information exchange, processing information using electronic means, as well as solving research tasks, developing new, and maintaining existing telecommunication products. Graduates of the program possess strong engineering and scientific thinking, a high level of general culture, and proficiency in foreign languages.

— Practical skills in modeling and designing telecommunication systems: Reservation of subnets, mobile networks, data transmission systems, video surveillance, and digital broadcasting; performing calculations for network parameters, channels, paths, and optical communication lines

— Ability to organize technical operation of equipment: Perform diagnostics, monitoring, resource evaluation, apply modern maintenance and repair methods, analyze metrological support, and assess perspectives of application of telecommunication systems

— Ability to analyze the security of radio-electronic and telecommunication systems, apply data protection technologies and cryptographic methods, and use error-correcting coding and quantitative information assessment.

— Focus on advanced telecommunication technologies: The program includes the study of 6G, artificial intelligence, SDN/NFV, IoT, and next-generation networks, training specialists for future industry trends

— Strong engineering and practical orientation: The program covers the full cycle from modeling and design to operation and maintenance of telecom systems (mobile networks, fiber optics, satellite systems, video surveillance, embedded systems)
