13.09.2024

On 13 September 2024, the International University of Information Technologies hosted a seminar on ‘Development of the Nuclear Industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan’.

The event was organised jointly with the Institute of Nuclear Physics, and was attended by Daniyar Maralovich Dzhanseitov Dzhanseitov, a leading researcher of the fission physics laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the DOE RK, and the faculty and staff of the university.

Throughout the seminar participants discussed the current state and prospects of the nuclear industry in the country, opportunities for the use of nuclear energy in industry and domestic consumption, as well as important issues of safety, environment and the use of nuclear technology.

The seminar participants learnt about the latest achievements in the field of nuclear physics.

After the seminar, Isakhov Asylbek Abdiashimovich Isakhov, Chairman of the Board - Rector of IITU, noted that the prospects for the development of the nuclear industry look promising, especially in the context of the global transition to clean energy and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. In general, nuclear power remains one of the promising technologies capable of ensuring stable energy saving in the context of climate change and growing global energy demand.

The event resulted in a better understanding of the development of the nuclear industry.
