Visa support for foreign students

1. A foreign citizen can enter Kazakhstan and study at IITU only with a studEnt visa.

The invitation is issued in advance by the International Affairs Department of IITU. The deadline for submitting the necessary documents to the International Affairs Department of IITU is no later than 45 days before the expected entry into the country. The invitation is issued at the Department of Migration Police of Almaty city, turnaround time for the invitation is 5-15 days. The cost of a visa received for the first time is equal to 0.5 MCI, repeated visa-30 MCI.

1. A foreign student of IITU must be registered with the migration authorities within 3 days from the day of arrival in Kazakhstan.
2. To extend the registration, a foreign student must apply to the International Affairs Department of IITU 10 days before the deadline for registration.
3. Within 1 business day from the moment of crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a foreign student must contact the International Affairs Department of IITU (e-mail: int@iitu.kz) and provide the following documents:

a) National passport (original);

b) A migration card with a mark on the border crossing (original);

c) Medical Certificate;

d) 3x4 photos (2 photos)

1. Before leaving for winter and summer holidays, a foreign student must notify the staff of International Affairs Department of IITU.
2. Students must inform the staff of International Affairs Department of IITU in a timely manner about all changes regarding the place of residence, contact information, changes in status (obtaining a temporary residence permit, residence permit, citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
