Big data analysis is one of the main areas that the International Information Technology University is focused on at the present stage. Therefore, a two-week training in Slovenia, at the University of Primorska, organized by the European Union within the framework of the ELBA project, Erasmus +, became another stage in advanced training, which was attended by data science teachers of IITU Aigerim Mishina and Fatima Tokmukhamedova. “Classes from Professor Branko Kavsek and his colleagues allowed us to get acquainted with the latest trends in this area, to study the methodology of European universities when working with big data”, teachers shared their experiences.
Aigerim and Fatima have already managed to hold several seminars and transfer the new knowledge gained at the trainings of Slovenian professors to young teachers for data analysis at IITU. The trainings were held in a discussion format. The listeners were interested in new programs and data analysis tools. Aigerim spoke about methodological approaches in teaching disciplines in data analysis at European universities. Fatima shared new data analysis tools.
Within the framework of the ELBA project, implemented by the International University of Information Technologies, 5 teachers have already been trained in Spain, Slovenia and more than 50 young teachers, undergraduates, doctoral students of IITU. In March, IITU teachers will take part in a follow-up training to be held in Italy.
