On November 23, 2022, a working meeting was held at which IITU experts and external experts discussed the preparation of manuals created within the framework of a joint project with Akelius and a UNICEF project to improve literacy among migrant children.

Three products are being prepared: two manuals and guidelines. Tatyana Aderikhina , UNICEF Education Program Manager in Kazakhstan, and Damir Kozhanbaev, UNICEF Education Programs Consultant, asked the authors about the readiness of each of the document and made their suggestions for improvement.

The first practical manual is being prepared by IITU language experts Dinara Aliyeva and Oksana Bublikova. Their " Practicum on Blended Language Learning with Akelius" will contain a brief description of the main theoretical issues of teaching a foreign language and examples of building lessons in a blended learning format for a mixed age group.

“After the recommendations, we leveled the style, removed excessive emotionality. Our task is to give teachers a guide, a compass that can show how to use technology on the example of Akelius. There are 8 lesson plans in the manual: two for each level. The material is presented in a unified way. There are general sections - one of them is "Advice to the teacher", in which we give recommendations on how to include the Akelius application in the lesson plan, " the authors of the manual said.

The second manual entitled "Digital Educational Environment: Guidelines for Application and Implementation in Schools" is being compiled by external experts Tazhigulova Almira Izbasarovna - Doctor of Technical Sciences, President of "National Informatization Center" JSC, and Akhmetova Gulnara Batyrbekovna - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of "Teaching Technologies" of “Syrdariya” University. Based on this guide, technicians, teachers and school principals are expected to create and ensure the proper functioning of a digital environment based on the use of mobile educational technologies.

The manuals are aimed for different target audiences: the first is suitable for those who already work in a mixed format, the second is designed for teachers who are just starting to work in this format. When preparing manuals, the authors try to avoid complexity and focus on practical aspect so that an educator can read it and apply new knowledge.

The third product is "Guidelines for supporting the educational process in the format of blended learning using the Akelius application". It is being prepared by Associate Professor of the department of languages of IITU Dinara Aliyeva and Professor of KazNPU named after Abay Bakitgul Zhumagulov. This document aims to improve the qualifications of teachers to work in a mixed format. The Akelius application is considered here as an example. According to the authors, it can be replaced by another educational language application. The main thing for the developers of guidelines is to show how to build a blended learning format effectively.
