ABOUT THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL

The Academic Council of JSC "International Information Technology University" is a governing body for solving issues of educational, research and methodological activities of the University. The activities of the Academic Council are based on the principles of collective free discussion and resolution of issues at open meetings.

Meetings of the Academic Council are held every month, twice a year an extended meeting is held with the participation of all teaching staff and staff of the University. At the first meeting, the work plan of the Academic Council for the academic year is approved.

The draft agenda of the IITU Academic Council meeting is formed by the Academic Secretary on the proposals of the Council members and heads of interested departments and submitted to the Chairperson of the Academic Council for consideration.

ACADEMIC COUNCIL ACTIVITIES

The Council makes decisions on the organization of the educational process, approves the structure of the university, considers plans for the strategic development of the university for the short and long term.

The Council approves new academic programs, curricula and catalogs of elective disciplines, ensuring that training meets the standards of the IT- industry.

The Council considers the issues of nominating employees and teachers for conferring academic titles, as well as makes decisions on awarding state and departmental awards.

The Council discusses the results of the academic year, analyzes the research activities of the departments, and also approves the topics of dissertations and reports on the implementation of research work.
