ABOUT THE DISSERTATION COUNCIL
The Dissertation Council of JSC "International Information Technology University" is a permanent collegial body authorized to defend dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). The Council is responsible for the objectivity of the examination of scientific works and the high level of qualification of applicants.
The activities of the Dissertation Council are carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main goal of the Council is to ensure the quality of training of highly qualified scientific personnel in the field of Information Technology, Computer Engineering and related disciplines.
Meetings of the Council are held as soon as the works are received for defense in the presence of a quorum from among the leading scientists and experts of the relevant profile.
DISSERTATION COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
Acceptance and examination of works: Consideration of doctoral dissertations for compliance with the established scientific criteria and requirements of academic integrity.
Appointment of reviewers: Identification of official opponents from among recognized experts for an in-depth analysis of the scientific novelty and practical significance of the study.
Organization of public defenses: Creating conditions for an open discussion of the results of research of applicants with the involvement of the scientific community.
Awarding degrees: Making a final decision on awarding (or refusing to award) a PhD degree based on the results of the defense and expert feedback.
